Is Amazon.com a reliable place to buy a digital camera?

Im interested in buying a digital camera and it is going to run me around $300. I looked up the camera on amazon and seen some good where I could get the camera plus some essential accessories for around $300. I just want to know if I can trust in buying it. I just dont want to be sold a bootleg/damaged/etc camera. Getting this camera is important to me and if im going to pay alot of money i want it to be right. What do yall think?

Just look at the stores feedback. Above 90% is a safe bet. I get all my electronics and other things from Amazon.

If they don’t have feedback yet, don’t buy it. That means they are new.

Also check Newegg as they have competitive prices and they are very safe.

What is a good starter digital camera for photography?

I have a very old Canon AE-1, which if you don’t know what that is it’s a non digital pull crank camera and it takes amazing pictures. But in order to show my friends these photos and stuff I would need a digital camera. Any suggestions are appreciated. :)

If you already know how to use manual controls (Which you probably do if you’re using an AE-1), go ahead and get an entry-level DSLR. Unfortunately, the FD lenses made for the AE-1 will not fit the current EOS DSLRs Canon produces right now without an adapter. I recommend anything out of the Rebel series. I use the XSi myself, but if you need more than 12 megapixels (which is already a lot bigger than what you can print on 35mm film), look at the T1i (15 megapixels) or the T2i (18 megapixels).

What digital camera is better?

I’m buying my parents a new digital camera for Christmas but I’m having trouble deciding between two. They use it just for basic picture taking around the house and on vacations. Here is a link of comparison, what camera do you think is better and why? Thank you.

Reviews about the Digital Camera: SAMSUNG DualView TL220?

Is the only difference between the TL220 and the TL225 the screen size? and is the TL 225 really worth the extra money? Are there any other differences?
is this a good camera?

Yes, the only difference between TL220 and the TL225 is just screen size.Personally I would go with TL220 and here are reviews from user about them

How do digital cameras work?

I really have two questions. One is about how digital cameras actually capture images and create image files. The other is about how cameras end up taking rectangular pictures. I mean, if you look at cameras. the lenses are circular, so how do they end up taking rectangular pictures, and why? Why are movies and photos always square, rather than circular?

well;; yes the LENS are circular. but the object inside the lens that actually captures the photo inside is a square, rectangular shape. the lens are circular so that the camera could get a 360 degree look at the object that the camera is capturing.
